Me & My Muse – Day 56: Gonna Need a Babysitter

How much worse can my Muse possibly get?

Yesterday afternoon, I finally was able to escape from her.  After trying all the different planets of the solar system and spitting them out, I finally got bored and made myself shrink until I was back on Earth again.  I then drank a couple more rivers because I was once again thirsty.  Don’t ask me. My mind was fused with hers, so I didn’t have complete control.

Anyway,  I ate a whole bunch of candy and activated the Tangible rules.  That made me throw up, causing my Muse to vomit me on the ground.  It was almost too high, but a produce stand broke my fall.

Why did I fall so much?  To answer your question, yes.  My Muse was still a giant, and to my horror, she wanted to stay one.  She shrieked in pain, since the Tangible rules were activated.  Very shortly, her own weight would crush her, but she quickly turned those rules off.

For the next hour, I argued with her why she couldn’t stay a giant.  This didn’t matter to her, since she wanted to grow again and return to outer space.  Fortunately, she didn’t do this.  Instead, I was grabbed and swung around hundreds of feet in the air.  After pleading with her several times, she finally sat me down.

Finally, I made the argument that she would need to return to my head and eat more ideas, or she would starve.  Now she would have to return to her normal size, right?  She didn’t.  I gasped in horror as I watched my giant Muse enter my head.  Very shortly, she came back out, all fed.  She wanted to play more games with me, and with her new size, I knew that this couldn’t be good….

Hours later, I barely had my sanity intact.  We played numerous games.  None of which were very fun if you’re playing them with a giant.  And not to mention, they drove me crazy!

After the game, she wanted me to watch some more My Little Pony with her.  Learning my lesson before, I accepted.  You don’t say no to a giant.  Especially a giant Muse.  After a few hours, it was official.  My sanity was dead.

And if you’re wondering about that leash, it doesn’t work.  I’ve tried it on her, but it has no effect.  She seems to be too strong for it.  Even with a giant-sized leash, I don’t think it would do any good.

I don’t know how much more of this I can possibly take.  At this point, she’s going to need a babysitter.  I can’t watch her.  It’s not my job to do that.  She should be an adult and manage herself, but that’s something that she refuses to do.  If she could only tell me that secret.  I would definitely be able to help her….

Muse:  Let’s play another game!

No.  Not this today.  Forget it.  I’m not dealing anymore with your childish antics.

Muse:  But you’re the only one that will play with me!

Well look at you!  Who will play with a giant hyperactive Muse?

Muse:  You will!  Tee hee!

Not today.  I’ve arranged an Intangible babysitter to watch you.  And they’ll be watching you until the next cure is ready.

Muse:  But I don’t want a babysitter!  I wanna play with you!

Too bad.  You are this close to completely destroying my sanity.  I will not have any of it today.  In you go, so I can introduce your sitter to you.

Muse:  Aw….But I wanna play with you….

Sitter:  Do what he says, okay?

Muse:  Who are you?

Nurture:  I am Nurture, your sitter.  Now get into this gentleman’s head, okay?

Muse:  Will you visit me and play while the sitter’s watching me?

If I do, will you go in?

Muse:  I will.  Tee hee!

Then that’s a yes.  Go in!

There.  I now need to settle things inside.  I’m starting to get better at entering this dream realm….

Now I’m at the Realm of Imagina….What?  She has a gigantic bed in a field outside her house!

Muse:  Well how else am I gonna sleep?  I’m not gonna sleep on the ground!  Tee hee!

Well, you could at least….never mind.

Nurture:  Isn’t that house a little small for her?

That’s what I thought.  Knowing her, she’ll probably make it bigger, when she figures out how to do that.

Nurture:  I should be able to handle her.  I’ve managed many ideas, and younger Muses.  I just need to gather my things at my house.  I’ll be right back.

Muse:  I said hi to all the neighbors, but they all ran away!  Nobody likes me!

Well, you’re a giant!  I’m guessing that they would be scared of you.  Well, enjoy yourself with the babysitter!

Muse:  Tee hee!  I will!  I hope that she plays lots of games with me!  And don’t forget to visit me!

I won’t.  See you later!

There.  Back to reality.  With her having a babysitter now, I will now be able to explore the Realm of Imagination more, and hopefully find her old neighbors.  They would have to know something about her that I don’t.  Things pertaining to her before these Me & My Muses….

Today’s high is a cold and chilly 68 degrees.  The silver lining will be hanging out with my friend to play more Catan and Munchkin today.  And maybe some more progress on my Zorpozian language.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

To all of you who love babysitters, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  My house is too small!  Time to make it bigger!  Tee hee!
