Well, okay.  Maybe I’m a little early in welcoming him.  Marty and Doc are not supposed to arrive in Hill Valley until 4:29 p.m.  That’s 7:29 in Eastern Standard Time!

In being a little early, I have a special message for Marty.

Mr.  McFly,

Welcome to the year 2015.  Just to inform you, this is a slightly different 2015 than what we were expecting.  I believe that the reason for this is that someone has altered the timeline that has influenced the outcome of the events as we see them today.  With this being your first glimpse of the future, you may not be aware of it, but we certainly are.

With this being a different 2015, a large group of your supporters are waiting for you in Hill Valley.  You will see them as you and Doc make your descent into the landing zone in the DeLorean.

2015 is amazing, and I”m sure you will enjoy it.

Having that said, welcome to the future, Marty!

As we wait for Mr. McFly to arrive, I have this to say regarding this special day.  The future is now.  Everyone.  Watch Back to the Future: Part II now, or at least sometime today, or your name will be Mudd.

And don’t worry about there being no hoverboards or flying cars.  There will be, eventually.

Today’s high is going to be 70 degrees and the silver lining is being able to observe a special moment in fictional history.

To those of you who love geeking out to fictionally historical events like October 21, 2015, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
