Me & My Muse – Day 356: TV Dinners

With it being Sunday now, I can’t believe that the weekend is almost over.

With my current job, this weekend has pretty much been a whirlwind of work and rest from work.  The odd shifts make for time before and after work to get things done.  As for the time after work, I often find that I’m the most exhausted at the end of the day.  For this reason, the most important tasks need to be carried out prior to my shifts.  This is the typical grind, but one that i only see as a season.

I am tired of TV Dinners.  This all the more reinforces my need to learn the basic fundamentals of cooking.  But when when you get home at 9:00 at night, do you really want to try to cook something?  This is what TV dinners and restaurants are for.  For the last two nights, I have eaten Hungry Mans.  A spicy chicken one and a Smokin’ Backyard Barbeque one.  I am not having a third one.

In looking at my remaining time, I have some to look for a job.  Leisure can take a backseat, even on the weekends.  Evenings can have leisure, as I have the least amount of energy during that time.

Ghost Muse:  You should really have something else.

I know.  I need to learn to cook.  I’m not talking something that a gourmet chef would make, but something basic.

Ghost Muse:  I know how to cook, but it’s all with ideas so I can’t be of any help.

That’s too bad.  I could use a few pointers.  Now, let me go over to indeed.com…

Ghost Muse:  Good luck with your job search! You’re bound to find something!  Time to do the dishes…

With so many people leaving my work, that’s a telling sign.  I have 3 hours there and then a couple hours to unwind.

Today’s high is going to be 85 degrees and the silver lining is being able to enjoy the sunny day.

To those of you who are tired of cardboard dinners, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I’m going before I change my mind.  But I’ll wait until the evening, when there’s less people…
