Me & My Muse – Day 2535: Home Meal Delivery

With work done for the day, I am going to enjoy a delicious dinner that will be delivered momentarily.

At any moment, my cousins will be coming over to deliver dinner to my brother and I.  Macaroni and cheese with lil’ smokies.  I will also give them a tour of my duplex.

Time to wrap this up and get ready for some company.

Today’s high is going to be 82 degrees and the silver lining is being able to have a delicious meal after a busy day.

To those of you who like having home cooked meals, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  A homecooked meal?  That’s pretty good!  I think I’ll have some…

Me & My Muse – Day 2534: Time to Visit my Kitty…

With work all finished for the day, it’s time that I visited Lucy.

Who’s Lucy?  She’s my kitty that I wasn’t able to take with me when I moved out.  Now that I’m done, I’m going over to my parent’s house to visit the poor cat…That, and I need to check in on the house.  My parents are still out of town, so I’ll be looking after their house for a little while longer…

Muse:  Kyle…Over these last two days in 2020, I have time travelled for one year and one month.  So while you experienced two days, I experienced a year for one day and a month for another.  Can I come with you?

Sure.  I’m just going to check in on the house.

Muse:  This has been very frustrating.  I don’t know when I’m going to be in this era again…

Have you talked to me in the past?

Muse:  Yes I have.  A number of times…

Now that you mentioned it, I think I do remember some of your encounters.  They feel so much like a blur now…

Well, anyway, it’s time to head over there.  I’m sure the cat misses me.

Today’s high is going to be 73 degrees and the silver lining is being able to see Lucy.

To those of you who love your pets, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Let’s get going.  There’s a lot of things that I want to share with you.  I’ve been through many different time periods.  So many…

Me & My Muse – Day 2533: Outdoor Service…

In cutting to the chase today, I will be attending an outdoor service at Midland Free.  If I’m one of the first 100 people to attend, I’ll be able to experience the service on their front lawn.  The rest will have to experience the service from their cars.

After that, I think I’ll visit my grandparents.  I got some time today so that should be fun.  Besides that, today is going to be pretty relaxing…

Today’s high is going to be 68 degrees and the silver lining is being able to attend church outside and in person.

To those of you who miss face to face events, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Face to face is nice.  Well, after time traveling for a whole year, I’m finally in 2020 again.  I have a lot to tell him.  I think I’ll save it for after church…

Me & My Muse – Day 2532: The Time Traveling Muse

In looking at today, I can say that it has been quite relaxing so far.

This morning, I had my breakfast and watched my usual nostalgic cartoon to go with it.  I then read my bible and did my devotionals.

After getting ready, I drove to a Men’s Breakfast at my church, where Dan Holman from Reach Global Crisis Response spoke about the flood recovery efforts in the community.

I am now back at home, ready to take it easy…

Muse:  Kyle!

What is it?

Muse:  I’m…finally back.  It took me a month, but I’m finally in the year 2020 again.

A month to travel another day?

Muse:  Wrong.  I’ve been to 30 other time periods since then.  Even more interesting is that I can travel to different locations as well.  Just last night, I was in Florence, Italy during the Renaissance…

Can’t you control it?

Muse:  I can’t.  All my life I have tried and I have never been able to control my ability to time travel.  It’s a normal part of my life and I have grown accustomed to it.  Now, I would like to spend the day with you, as I will be in a different era tomorrow…

Have you been to the far future?

Muse:  I have, and it’s very scary there.  I don’t like to travel there.  Now, what would you like to do?

I am just going to take it easy today.

Muse:  Okay!  Let’s do that!  I have a lot to share, as I have learned a lot of things from time traveling for more than 30 years…

I’ll keep that in mind.  Time to enjoy this day!

Today’s high is going to be 63 degrees and the silver lining is enjoying this Saturday off.

To those of you who are enjoying this Saturday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Let’s enjoy this day!  There’s no telling what year I will be in tomorrow…

Meanwhile…

Dark Muse:  Where is she?  Where is my twinie?  It’s been years since we’ve been in the same time period!  I KNOW that she’s here!  Tee hee…We both have it, and I’ve been to that dark day.  I’ve had it with this form!  I want to be an Intangible like her!  I don’t like this form…Tee hee…*sniff* *sniff*

Me & My Muse – Day 2531B: It’s About Time

I looked around and rubbed my eyes.  This was an interesting time to return to the stories that accompany this day to day project.  The stories that add another dimension to my Muse’s character.

My Muse was still asleep, as sleep was necessary for her to experience her next transformation.  What will she become?  What will she turn into next?

Then I saw it.  My Muse began her transformation once again.  Her signature flash cycled through numerous colors in just seconds.  This was her own unique light show that I get to experience every time she transforms.  The rapidly flashing colors continued flickering, now producing a streaked blur…

After that, nothing happened.  My Muse did not change form.  But that does not rule out that there was no transformation.  After all, her form was the same when she controlled the weather.  What could she be now?

My Muse looked around and gasped.  She quickly gauged her surroundings and glanced at me.

“What year is this?” she asked me.

I stared at her, dumbfounded.  “What year?  Don’t you know?  It’s 2020.”

A look of panic filled her face.  “Just now…” she began.  “Seconds ago…I was in the year 1986.  I was crying and my mother was holding me…”

“What?!” I gasped.  “So you’re telling me that you can time travel now?”

She gave me a look that started to haunt me.  “Kyle, I don’t know why you can’t remember, but I’ve been time traveling for 35, almost 36 years.  It started the moment I was born…”

“When you were born?  So what did you do?  Travel to the future?”

“Yes.  To a year during my college days.  Having a mind of a child, I was totally scared, and spent days trying to time travel back to the days of my infancy.  Eventually, I did.”

I scratched my head.  “So how do I not know this?”

My Muse gave me her lightbulb expression.  “It must be a temporal distortion.  From my transformation, it caused it to happen.  Before then, my time traveling ability never existed.”

“And now, you have had the ability all your life.” I told her.  “What happens if you time travel before you’re born or after you die?”

“Oh,” she told me.  “That’s an easy one!  I become a ghost.  It’s all very frustrating.  I always wake up in a different time period every day.  Just a week ago, I was in the Civil War era…But there’s one time period I don’t like…” she burst into tears.

“What?” I asked her.  “It that time period that bad?”

My Muse continued weeping and gave me a look of resentment.  “Forget I ever said that!  Now if you would excuse me.  I’m really tired…”

And just like that, my Muse fell asleep.  Probably time traveling to a different era.  To either the future or the past.  It doesn’t seem like she can control it.

So this what my Muse is going to be like for the next 100…um, excuse me…69 days?  This is going to be difficult for my Muse.  Especially since I have no memory of her having this ability all her life.  Well, I will try to help her through this, and hopefully figure out that era that is troubling her.  These next 69 days are going to be interesting…

Me & My Muse – Day 2531: Clearer Skies

Having just finished this work week, I am now going to relax…wait a second!  Why is it all stormy all of a sudden?

Muse:  I’ll tell you why.  It’s because I have full control of the weather again.  Have you not forgotten?

Have you forgotten that the Weather Muse story arc was in the 2400 series?

Muse:  Have you forgotten that the story arc was never resolved?  Now, I am creating a world-wide storm that will bring the rains down on the whole earth!

The Creator:  And I will bring an abrupt and decisive end to this story arc.  The real world is already experiencing enough trouble as it is.  Why add to it?  Besides, you are overdue for your next transformation.  These story arcs are not cheap, you know…

Not cheap?  Since when did they ever cost any money?

The Creator:  Enough.  You never see the balance sheets, but I pay for everything that goes on here.  Now, the Weather Muse is done with her meddling with the weather and is now back to normal!

*The Creator flashes and all the stormy weather around the world vanishes*

Muse:  Thanks!  We really do need to get to that other arc, don’t we?  It’s very important…Besides, these endings usually result in a seemingly hopeless scenario resolved only by a Deus Ex Machina…

The Creator:  True, but I am not a machine…Now, your transformation will take place tonight.  Be ready for it!

Muse:  Oh, I will!  Thanks Creator!  Bye!

Well, that ended quickly.  If you’re getting ready for another transformation, there’s only one place to do that.  To the Tower of Muses!

*teleports with Muse to the Tower of Muses*

Well, this is a different way to spend a Friday.  With you, at the very top…on the 2500th floor?  Why did we come back here?

Muse:  Really…Are we going to make it the 2531st floor?  No.  It would be much easier to go to the top of the last tower.  Besides, I’m not going to build 31 more stories just to make up lost time.  Now excuse me, Kyle.  I’m very tired…

*Muse falls into a deep sleep*

Ahh…Sleeping is necessary for her to transform.

Now for the unique ending.

Today’s high is going to be 68 degrees and the silver lining is another weekend being here and another story arc done.

To those of you who are glad that the weekend is here, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Now I’ll…What’s going on? Just like before! It’s happening once again! On the bed! My Muse is flashing…

Me & My Muse – Day 2530: Thursday Housekeeping…

With another day of work under my belt, it’s time that I begin the unwinding process.  Before I do that, I’ll be making a drive over to my parents house for a little housekeeping.  Getting the mail, feeding the cat, and cleaning the litter box.

My parents are out of town on a trip.  I will elaborate why in a future post.  Let’s just say that things are going to be a little different.

Today’s high is going to be 75 degrees and the silver lining will be being able to visit Sanford.

To those of you who like visiting your hometown, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  You’re visiting Sanford?  I miss that place.  I’ll be sure to tag along!

Me & My Muse – Day 2529: Eating More Chicken

How does one unwind from a busy Wednesday?  They have a chicken dinner, of course!

I will be baking some chicken tonight, along with some spinach on the stovetop.  As for barbeque sauce and teriyaki sauce, I’ll leave that up to the guest (i.e. my brother).  I’ll be having mine with teriyaki…

Time to get this dinner started!

Today’s high is going to be 88 degrees and the silver lining is having a delicious chicken dinner.

To those of you who like to unwind with comfort food, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Chicken for dinner?  That sounds good!  Let me know when it’s ready!

Me & My Muse – Day 2528: Happy 61st Birthday, Mom!

While I may not be present on your birthday, I am still celebrating with you.

Today, I pretty just worked and called it a day after that.

Mom is celebrating her birthday out of town, so she called and I wished her a happy birthday.  I don’t know if she’ll have cake, but I hope that there is.

With that, I will get ready for tomorrow and then unwind for the remainder of the day.

Today’s high is going to be 90 degrees and the silver lining is it being my mom’s 61st birthday.

To those of you who like celebrating special birthday milestones, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  It’s your mom’s 61st birthday today?  Tell her that I said happy birthday, okay?

Me & My Muse – Day 2527: Hot Start

Indeed it was!  The sun is shining and it’s pretty warm outside.

And with work over, I was able to go for a drive.  The weather is pretty nice out there.

Now that I’m home, it’s now time that I make dinner.  I think I’ll have soup.  I definitely want to make something on Wednesday.  That’s all, folks!

Today’s high is going to be 83 degrees and the silver lining is the weather being nice outside.

To those of you who are enjoying the weather, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  It is nice outside!  I think I’ll have some iced tea…

Me & My Muse – Day 2526: Sunday Short

In cutting to the chase, I have had my breakfast and I’m all ready to go.

I will now make my lunch, watch today’s virtual Church and go to my church’s business meeting tonight.

In the mean time, I will take it easy with the time that I have remaining.  That is pretty much this Sunday in summary form.

Today’s high is going to be 69 degrees and the silver lining is being able to enjoy another day off.

To those of you who are enjoying your Sunday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I’m all ready too!  Let me know when the virtual service starts.  I’m all ready to go!

Me & My Muse – Day 2525: Starting up Saturday…

How do I start up my Saturday?  With a little nostalgia.  I have some almonds, strawberry Fage Yogurt, a Quest Bar, and watch an episode of the SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog.

Following that, I have my breakfast scramble.

After I shower and get ready, I listen to my audio bible and write down parts of the passage that speak to me.  I then do my other devotionals.

That brings us to now.  I will conclude this journal, have a second cup of coffee, enjoy a nice walk, and play a little more of my game.  A load of whites are in the washer so I would have to say that this Saturday is off to a good start.

Today’s high is going to be 75 degrees and the silver lining is being able to enjoy this Saturday off.

To those of you who are enjoying this Saturday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  That’s a nice start!  I already got all those things done and I’m reading.  I finished your book.  It’s a very good read!  It looks like you’re mostly done with it too.  Enjoy the remainder of it!

Me & My Muse – Day 2524: And Now it’s Friday…

Isn’t that something to be excited about?  I know that I am.

Without further ado, it’s time that I get started on the weekend.  There’s a chance a rain, but worry not.  My plans are indoors anyway.  Time to chill with a pizza and a night of relaxation.

Today’s high is going to be 83 degrees and the silver lining is the weekend being here at last.

To those of you who are glad that it’s Friday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  Yay!  It’s Friday!  What’s that book that you’re reading about heaven?  I think that I’ll borrow it.  Don’t worry.  I’ll return it!  I’m a pretty fast reader…

Me & My Muse – Day 2523: Thursday Already?

I feel like the week started only yesterday.

Well anyway, time flies when you have a busy week.  While I was visiting to make a book on Sanford and having fellowship last night, tonight is going to be a little more chill.  A quiet evening inside.

Oh, and the weather is very nice out there, so you should check it out.  Already went for my stroll for the day.

Now for the wrap up…

Today’s high is going to be 84 degrees and the silver lining is the weekend almost being here.

To those of you who are enjoying your Thursday, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  I think I’ll read another chapter of my book.  So far, so good!

Me & My Muse – Day 2522: Life Group

With work all done for the day, what is on tap for the evening?

An evening Life Group of course.

Tonight, I will be attending a life group and it should be a lot of fun.  After that, I will be calling it a night.

Today’s high is going to be 84 degrees and the silver lining will be going to tonight’s Life Group.

To those of you who like attending evening activities, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  A Life Group?  That should be fun!  Let me know how that turns out!

Me & My Muse – Day 2521: Sanford Strong…

With work done for the day, I will now be making a trip over to Sanford to talk to someone that I’m working with about a project that will help rebuild Sanford.

What is this project?  Since after the flood hit, I have been trying to think of ways that I can help the Sanford community.  People have helped with food, water, new furniture, and clothing.  But what can I do?  How can I help the effort?

Then it hit me.  I could write something.  I started to think of the Hubbard Lake books that my parent’s friend Mike Cornelius has written.  In those books, they were filled with stories and pictures detailing Hubbard Lake’s beautiful history.  For Sanford, something similar could be done.  I want to capture the memory of the town.  The old locales that made Sanford what it is today.  The Pere Marquette Railroad and the Sanford Dam that was built in the 1920’s, leading in to the flood that happened in 2020.  I want to compile stories from local businesses and people that have lived in this town for generations.  Through each person, I would like them to tell us the story of Sanford in the way that they know best.  This book would detail the people, businesses, and events that made Sanford the strong town that it is today.  With any profits from this book, I would like to donate all of them to help rebuild Sanford.

In my vision to write a book like this, I found another person on Facebook that wanted to do the same thing as me.  Write a book about Sanford and donate the profits to help rebuild the town.  Since we both shared the same vision, it only made sense for me to help her in the leadership of making this book a reality.  She wanted the title to be “Sanford Strong”, since that has become the motto around here since the cleanup and rebuilding has begun.

I will be visiting with her and we will discuss ideas on how we can put this book together.  A publisher may be expensive, so we may self publish to save on some money.  I am hoping that we can find someone with some publishing experience that can help with those details when we get to that stage in production.

I will keep you all updated on the progress of this book, and how you can help in supporting Sanford’s efforts to rebuild.  Stay tuned as these details continue to unfold.

Today’s high is going to be 85 degrees and the silver lining is being able to meet someone in Sanford to help lead in writing this book.

To those of you who like to help make a difference in a disaster torn community, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  That is wonderful news!  When Sanford Strong is published, I will want a copy!

Me & My Muse – Day 2520: COVID-19 Isolation – Day 79: Starting June Tired…

Having not gotten very good rest last night, I started this month feeling tired.

Fortunately, this day is over and I can relax.  I will have my dinner and go right off to bed.

Stay sane, clean, and healthy everyone!

Today’s high is going to be 72 degrees and the silver lining is being able to rest after a busy day of work.

To those of you who feel tired today, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Me & My Muse – Day 2519: COVID-19 Isolation – Day 78: Chill End to the Month…

And like any Sunday more recently, it will consist of Church and resting.  After all, Sunday is a day of rest.

Me & My Muse – Day 2518: COVID-19 Isolation – Day 77: Chill Weekend…

Chill as in the temperature is a lot cooler than it was a week ago.

Well, with work done for the week, the weekend is finally here.

In cutting to the chase, I’m going to start enjoying this weekend and everything that it has to offer.  The sun is out, so everyone should take the time to enjoy it.
