Me & My Muse – Day 556: Fish out of Water

Out of the fishbowl and onto the dry, parched land.  At least that’s what it feels like.

How is that so?  Let’s review.

This morning, I finished cleaning the oven.  I woke up, took a shower, went to work, cleaned the oven and came home.  After that, I had breakfast and finished my morning routine.

How is that dry, parched land?  I am not finished.  Today, I work a normal shift and then I have a Toastmasters meeting right after that.  It will start with a business meeting at 6:00 and will transfer to the club meeting at 6:30.  Before I even go to work, I am trying to get various other things done.  Checking the tire pressure, preparing for tonight’s business meeting, typing some DEC Meeting minutes, checking my ChristianMingle account, etcetera.

With that, I feel like a fish out of water.  I am dry and parched, and I need some space to breathe.

Muse:  No!  Tee hee!  Where’s the fishy-wishy?  There!  That’s better!  Tee hee!

What are you doing to me?  What’s going on….*fwoosh*

Muse:  Tee hee!  There.  A nice, cute fishy-wishy!  Just like last night.  Tee hee!

*flops around on the floor, futilely trying to find a source of water*

Muse:  *sigh*  It’s not as fun as it was last night!  What should I do to him now?  I know!  I’ll make him a talking fish!  Tee hee…

*fwoosh*  What’s going on here?  Why am I covered in scales?  *hack*  Need water…*hack* *cough*

Muse:  You’re fun, but I wanna make you even funner!  You’re now a talking fishperson!  Tee hee!

*fwoosh* *HACK*  I need water now!

*runs to sink, dives headfirst and turns water on*

*gasp*  Phew!  Water!  Now, why did you make me a fish?  Turn me back now!  Glub…

Muse:  No!  You’re a cute fish!  I LOVE cute fishies!  Tee hee!

*gasp*  Stop!  You’re choking me!  Glub!

Muse:  What’s that?  Mommy’s calling me again.  Time for breakfast!  Tee hee!

*Muse vanishes in a flash of bright sparkles*

???:  Time to turn you back…again!

*fwoosh*  I’m back to normal!  Thanks, Remedy.

Remedy:  She made you a fish while you were sleeping last night.  When she left, I turned you back.

That makes me upset.  Whatever happened to granting wishes?  With that Dark Muse invading her, she now thinks that she can do whatever she wants to me!

Remedy:  Don’t worry.  I have a plan to get the Dark Muse out of her and free the Muse’s memories again.

We definitely need to do that.  Even if we remove the Dark Muse, my Muse’s memories are still trapped in that pendant!  She will only have her fairy memories like before…

Remedy:  And we need to act fast, too.  If that fairy is reborn, she will absorb the Muse’s memories, getting rid of the qualities she doesn’t like.  Her memories will be lost forever.

And she’ll be especially destructive if she is reborn as a Dark Muse fairy.  We can’t have that happen.

Remedy:  Don’t worry.  When have I ever failed you?  The plan is in the works.  It should be ready in a little more than a month…

I hope you hurry.  I don’t want to lose my Muse…

Remedy:  Your time is short.  I will let you get ready now.

Thanks Remedy.

Getting back to today, I have a lot to do. Work and Toastmasters.  That’s the gist for tonight.

Today’s high is going to be 30 degrees and the silver lining is getting some more things accomplished.

To those of you who like progress, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.

Muse:  After breakfast,  I think I’ll make him into a flying fish!  Tee hee!
