No. Not Krusty Krab. Crispy Crab. For those of you who are not in the know, this is something that you all must experience.
This morning, I woke up at 8:30 and had my breakfast. A little after 9:00, I wet my hair down, combed it and put yesterday’s clothes on. A shower could wait, as I didn’t want to miss my opportunity to get my hands on a coconut shrimp taco.
I arrived at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Midland with my brother, and there was no place to park. The whole area was set up. There were flowers for sale, with a handful of different vendors selling their food: frozen apple cider slushies, crepes, popcorn and of course, the delicious awesomeness that is the Crispy Crab.
When I finally saw a spot, it was a showdown. Another car saw the spot that I wanted to get. Fortunately, I was there first, so I parked and got out.
Being there a little early, I read a little bit of “The First Phone Call From Heaven”. That is a pretty good book so far, and I am almost 100 pages into it.
After finishing my chapter and waiting a while, my mom and my sister joined me. There wasn’t really a line, so I was quite fortunate.
My mom ordered and they got some frozen apple cider slushies while we were waiting. I shared one with my brother, and it was pretty good.
Finally, the food came. Me and my brother got our styrofoam take-out boxes and went back to the car.
We ate our food in the car. How were the tacos? They were amazing. It’s a soft shell tortilla with deep fried shrimp, purple cabbage and a special coconut sauce. In a $9 order, you get two of them, with a bag of Lays Original Potato chips and a side of their cole slaw. It’s really good slaw, too. It has a little bit of ramen noodle mixed in.
Again, my plug to the place. Try the Crispy Crab! Where are they located? Get on facebook and find out! They change their location weekly and they usually are open four days a week. But resources are limited, so it’s first come, first serve. They’re open until they sell out, which is usually a couple hours. So get it while it’s hot! I will try the Crabcake Sandwich the next time I go there.
After the delicious snack, I took off for the mall to get a Father’s Day card for dad. Happy with my selection, I went to Meijer to get my Eggbeaters. I then went home to help my dad and grandpa turn the hunting blind over. In case I haven’t mentioned it, they are working on a hunting blind for the fall. Both me and my brother helped them and I was able to get that done.
What’s on tap for later? Another four hour shift at the pizza pit, of course. Really, at this point, it is not so much the work that annoys me, but the music. Just how long do I have to hear crap music? Hip hop artists and their stupid beats and other songs by filthy whores. Enbrazened prostitutes singing about sex and whatever. If this happens today, I will just focus on the work at hand, like I always do. After all, that’s what I’m paid to do. Make pizzas. Not put up with other people’s music. Let’s get away from that, as I don’t want this to turn into a rant…
Ghost Muse: Good. Please stay away from that.
So, how about that Crispy Crab, huh?
Ghost Muse: It’s so good. I just finished my third order. I’m going to need to work out tomorrow.
*glances at watch* I think I need to wrap this up.
Ghost Muse: Okay. Have fun at work!
Also, my friend’s over. So I need to end this.
Ghost Muse: Time to read my novel!
Today’s high is going to be 80 degrees and the silver lining is having some delicious Crispy Crab this morning.
To those of you who have ever tried the awesome Crispy Crab, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: *sigh* I’m so lonely. I wish that I could talk to Kyle…
