Well, the dust has settled and a new year is underway. A year that I’m hoping that will be full of opportunity.
After I gave 2014 a warm welcome, I made my traditional toast with my brother, drinking the sparkling white grape juice that I bought for the occasion.
But this wasn’t actually done first. No New Year’s celebration would be complete without running outside and honking the car horns, a tradition that one of my parent’s friends started several years ago. After honking the horns, it was time for the toast.
As for the rest of this day, I rested, got ready for the day and went to work, helping myself to some bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers before I left. After work, I picked up a coffee energy drink and came home.
In looking ahead, I feel like this is going to be a good year.
Muse: It will be. I can feel it!
As for the movie discussion and review, don’t worry. That will be covered on a later day.
Muse: Good. I thought that you forgot about that.
I didn’t. Now if you will excuse me, I am going to help myself to some more snacks.
Muse: Help yourself. I’m going to do the same. Bye!
I know that this year is going to be a good one. I always like even years more than the odd ones. Being born on an even year might have a lot to do with it. Whatever it is, I have a good feeling about this year.
Today’s high was 14 degrees and the silver lining was having those bacon-wrapped poppers.
To all of you who are enjoying the first day of the year, I hope that you all have a fantastic day.
Muse: Mmm….This leftover queso is soooooo good….
